Brass bar


The brass bar is very strong and wear-resistant due to the presence of a large amount of copper and zinc in its alloy. They are made according to GOST 2060-2006 with a chemical composition according to GOST 15527-2004. In addition, zinc increases the antifriction and anticorrosion properties of the alloy. Brass products have excellent mechanical properties. The most common brands of this rental are LS63 and LS59-1. The price for it is low, since brass is an inexpensive metal.


The brass bar has excellent thermal conductivity, can be easily machined regardless of its temperature and is very durable. Fasteners and auxiliary parts, construction accessories are often made from it: bushings, bolts, gears and nuts. This allowed the use of brass bar in many areas of production: shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, instrument making, marine and space industry.


Depending on the production method, brass rods are distinguished from cold and hot deformed. Manufacturing accuracy can be normal, high and high. According to the state of the material, the brass bar is soft, semi-solid and solid. The marking of long products indicates the percentage of the main alloying elements and the category of alloy.
